Radenac ( Breton : Radeneg ) is a French municipality with 1059 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the community association Pontivy Communauté .
geography
Radenac is located in the north of the Morbihan department and belongs to the Pays de Pontivy.
Neighboring municipalities are Pleugriffet in the northeast, Lantillac in the east, Buléon in the southeast, Saint-Allouestre in the south, Moréac in the west and Réguiny in the northwest.
The place is a bit away from roads for national traffic. The main road links through the municipality are the D764 from Pontivy to Josselin and the D11 from Rohan to Saint-Jean-Brévelay . The next major road connection is the N24, which runs several kilometers south of the municipality.
The most important bodies of water are some streams such as Kerropert , Ville and Bonvallon . The municipal boundary partially runs along these watercourses.

history
Historically, the municipality belongs to the Breton region of Bro-Gwened (French: Vannetais) and within this region to the Bro Baod (French: Pays de Baud) area and shares its history. From 1801 until its dissolution on September 10, 1926, it belonged to the Arrondissement of Ploërmel. From 1793 until its dissolution in 1801, Pleugriffet belonged to the canton of Réguiny.
