Évellys is a French commune with 3,482 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the arrondissement of Pontivy and the canton of Grand-Champ .

It was created with effect from January 1, 2016 as Commune nouvelle by merging the previous municipalities Moustoir-Remungol , Naizin and Remungol , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative seat is in Naizin.

geography

The community is around twelve kilometers southeast of Pontivy . The river Ével crosses the municipality. Neighboring municipalities are Kerfourn in the north, Crédin in the northeast, Réguiny in the east, Moréac in the southeast, Plumelin in the south, Guénin in the southwest and Pluméliau-Bieuzy with Pluméliau in the west, as well as Noyal-Pontivy and Saint-Thuriau in the northwest.
