Saint-Caradec-Trégomel ( Breton : Sant-Karadeg-Tregonvael ) is a French municipality with 480 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the community association Roi Morvan Communauté .
geography
Saint-Caradec-Trégomel is located in the northwest of the Morbihan department and belongs to the Pays du Roi Morvan.
Neighboring municipalities are Le Croisty in the north-west and north, Ploërdut in the north, Lignol in the north-east, Kernascléden in the south-east and south, Berné in the south and Priziac in the south-west.
The place itself is a crossing point of different streets - but it is away from important thoroughfares. Eleven kilometers west of Saint-Caradec-Trégomel, the D769 runs from Lorient to Carhaix-Plouguer . The important national road connection N125 passes around twenty kilometers north of the community.
The most important bodies of water are several small streams and ponds. Some of these also form the municipal boundary.

history
Historically, the municipality belongs to the Breton region of Bro Gwened (French: Vannetais) and within this region to the Bro Bourlet (French: Pays Pourlet) area and shares its history. Saint-Caradec-Trégomel belonged to the Canton of Berné from 1793 until its dissolution in 1801. Since then, the municipality has been assigned to the canton of Guémené-sur-Scorff. In 1955 part of the municipality split off and formed the independent municipality of Kernascléden.
