Le Croisty ( Breton : Ar C'hroesti ) is a French municipality with 709 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the community association Roi Morvan Communauté .
geography
Le Croisty is located in the northwest of the Morbihan department and belongs to the Pays du Roi Morvan.
Neighboring municipalities are Saint-Tugdual in the north, Ploërdut in the east, Saint-Caradec-Trégomel in the south and Priziac in the west.
The place itself is a bit away from important thoroughfares. Le Croisty is the junction of the D178 from Plouray to Plouay and the D132 from Ploërdut to Le Faouët . The most important regional road connection D769 from Saint-Pol-de-Léon to Lorient passes eleven kilometers west of the town.
The most important body of water is the Aër River . In part, this also forms the municipal boundary. There are also several ponds in the municipality.

history
Historically, the municipality belongs to the Breton region of Bro Gwened (French: Vannetais) and within this region to the Bro Bourlet (French: Pays Pourlet) area and shares its history. Le Croisty was created on November 29, 1903 by a spin-off from the municipality of Saint-Tugdual. Since then, the municipality has belonged to the canton of Guémené-sur-Scorff.
