La Grée-Saint-Laurent ( Breton : Ar C'hrav-Sant-Laorañs , Gallo: La Graéy-Saent-Laurantz ) is a French municipality with 336 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany .
geography
La Grée-Saint-Laurent is located in the northeast of the Morbihan department and belongs to the Pays de Josselin.
Neighboring municipalities are Forges de Lanouée with Les Forges in the north, Saint-Malo-des-Trois-Fontaines in the east, Helléan in the southeast, La Croix-Helléan in the south and Lanouée in the southwest and west.
The place itself is only on a side street. The regional road connection D16 from Josselin to Mauron passes near the village. The most important supraregional connection is the N 24 , which runs around ten kilometers south of La Grée-Saint-Laurent. The closest connection to this is north of Josselin.
The most important bodies of water are the Ninian River and the Galourais Brook . These partially form the municipal boundary. There are also some small ponds in the municipality. Only a small part of the municipal area is covered by forest areas.

history
Historically, the municipality belongs to the Breton region of Bro-Sant-Maloù (French: Pays de Saint-Malo) and within this region to the Porc'hoed (French: Porhoët) area and shares its history. From 1801 until its dissolution on September 10, 1926, it belonged to the Arrondissement of Ploërmel. From 1793 to 1801 La Grée-Saint-Laurent belonged to the canton of Lanouée. Since then, the place has been assigned to the canton of Josselin.
