Lanouée ( Breton : Lannoez , Gallo: Lanoés ) is a commune Déléguée in the French commune of Forges de Lanouée with 1,768 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany .
geography
Lanouée is in the north of the Morbihan department and is part of the Pays de Josselin.
Neighboring towns are Les Forges in the north-west and north, La Grée-Saint-Laurent in the east, La Croix-Helléan and Josselin in the south-east, Guégon in the south and south-west and Pleugriffet in the west.
The place itself is at the intersection of numerous streets. The most important of these are the D155 and D157. The D778 from Josselin to Loudéac west and the D793 from Josselin to Dinan east of Lanouée are regional road connections. The most important supra-regional connection is the N 24 , which runs only around five kilometers south of the municipality. The closest connection to this is west of Josselin.
The most important bodies of water are the river Oust , which is called Canal de Nantes à Brest and the streams Crasseux , Galourais and Prés Jallais . These partially form the municipal boundary. There are also numerous small ponds in the municipality. A small part of the community area is covered by forest. The largest forest areas are the Bois de Bas , Bois des Grignars and small parts of the Forêt de Lanouée .

history
Historically, the municipality belongs to the Breton region of Bro-Sant-Maloù (French: Pays de Saint-Malo) and within this region to the Porc'hoed (French: Porhoët) area and shares its history. From 1801 until its dissolution on September 10, 1926, it belonged to the Arrondissement of Ploërmel. From 1793 to 1801 Lanouée (then La Nouée) was the capital of the canton of Lanouée. Since then, the place has been assigned to the canton of Josselin. In 1883 the municipality of Les Forges split from Lanouée.
The municipality of Lanouée merged with Les Forges to form the Commune nouvelle Forges de Lanouée on January 1, 2019 . Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée.
