Val d'Oust is a French commune with 2,705 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the canton of Moréac in the arrondissement of Pontivy .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2016 through the merger of the previous municipalities of Le Roc-Saint-André , Quily and La Chapelle-Caro , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are located in Le Roc-Saint-André .

geography

The municipality is crossed by the river Oust , which has been developed here into the Canal de Nantes à Brest canal . Neighboring municipalities are Guillac , Montertelot and Ploërmel in the north, Monterrein in the northeast, Caro in the east, Saint-Abraham in the southeast, Sérent in the south, Lizio in the west and Saint-Servant in the northwest.
