Village church

The parish church of Notre-Dame was built in the years 1420–1464 in the Flamboyant Gothic style from granite by the noble family of Rohan . The church was consecrated in 1453. It is considered to be one of the most important Gothic buildings in Brittany.

The choir vault is divided into 24 individual, triangular areas (so-called gussets ) by cross ribs . Each of these gussets is painted with a fresco showing a single scene from the life of the Mother of God Maria: The fresco cycle first depicts the legend of Joachim and Anna , then the Annunciation and the birth of Christ and finally the death and ascension of the Mother of God Maria. Further frescoes on the side walls of the choir tell the story of Christ's passion.

Finally, in a side chapel, there is a fresco of a dance of death, which describes the punishments in hell in a dramatic way. This fresco is a rarity as there are only two depictions of a dance of death in the whole of Brittany.
