Pluneret ( Breton Plunered ) is a French municipality with 5722 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany . Pluneret is part of the Lorient arrondissement and the canton of Auray . The inhabitants are called Plunerétaine (s) .
geography
Pluneret is separated from the municipality of Auray to the west by the Auray River . Pluneret is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Plumergat and Sainte-Anne-d'Auray in the north, Plougoumelen in the east, Bono in the south (also separated by the Bono River ), Crach in the southwest, Auray in the west and Brech in the northwest.
Route Nationale 165 runs through the municipality .
history
Until 1950, the town of Sainte-Anne was part of the municipality, which then became independent as Sainte-Anne-d'Auray .
