Sauzon ( Breton Saozon ) is a French municipality with 988 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany .

geography

Sauzon is located about 15 km south of Quiberon and about 43 kilometers southeast of Lorient in the north-west of the island of Belle-Île south of mainland Brittany. The municipality belongs to the community association Communauté de communes de Belle-Île-en-Mer .

Neighboring communities are Bangor in the southeast and Le Palais in the east. In all other directions the community borders on the sea.
