La Chapelle-Gaceline ( Breton Ar Chapel-Wagelin ) is a village and a former French commune of 768 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany . It belonged to the arrondissement of Vannes and the canton of Guer .
With effect from January 1, 2017, the former municipalities of La Chapelle-Gaceline , La Gacilly and Glénac were merged to form the Commune nouvelle La Gacilly of the same name and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are located in La Gacilly.
geography
La Chapelle-Gaceline is located around 17 kilometers north of Redon in the east of the Morbihan department. Neighboring towns are Carentoir in the north-west, Sixt-sur-Aff in the south-east and La Gacilly in the south-west.

The former community was created on January 17, 1874 by splitting off from Carentoir.
