Marsac-sur-Don ( Breton : Marzheg ) is a French municipality with 1,507 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis and is part of the canton of Guémené-Penfao . The inhabitants are called Marsacais .
geography
Marsac-sur-Don is about 40 kilometers north-north-west of Nantes on the Don River , a tributary of the Vilaine , which also forms the north-western boundary of the municipality. Marsac-sur-Don is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Derval in the north, Jans in the northeast, Nozay in the east and southeast, Vay in the south, Guémené-Penfao in the west and northwest and Conquereuil in the northwest.
