Oudon is a commune with 3805 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire in western France .

geography

Oudon is located on the Loire , about five kilometers west of Ancenis-Saint-Géréon and 30 kilometers east of Nantes . In the local area, the river Hâvre flows into the Loire. Direct neighboring communities are Le Cellier , Couffé , Ancenis-Saint-Géréon, on the opposite bank of the Loire Orée d'Anjou . The Loire island of Macrière , which is almost three kilometers long, also belongs to the municipality of Oudons . the place has a train station on the Tours – Saint-Nazaire line .
