Pannecé ( Breton : Panezeg ) is a French municipality with 1,364 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . Pannecé belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis and the canton of Ancenis (until 2015: canton of Riaillé ). The inhabitants are called Pannecéens .
geography
Pannecé is located about 42 kilometers northeast of Nantes on the Donneau . Pannecé is surrounded by the neighboring communities Vallons-de-l'Erdre in the north and east, Pouillé-les-Côteaux in the south and south-east, Mésanger in the south, Teillé in the west and south-west and Riaillé in the north-west.
history
Archaeologists recovered a coin hoard from the Gallo-Roman period - both from the third century AD - in the municipality in 1852 and 2002.
