Villepot ( Breton : Kerbod ) is a commune with 669 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis and the canton of Châteaubriant (until 2015: canton of Rougé ). The inhabitants are called Villepotais .

Villepot is located about 65 kilometers north-northeast of Nantes on the Brutz River . Villepot is surrounded by the neighboring communities Martigné-Ferchaud in the north, Pouancé in the east, Carbay in the southeast, Soudan in the south and Noyal-sur-Brutz in the west.
