The men's skeleton competition at the 2014 Winter Olympics took place from February 14th to 15th, 2014 in the Sanki Sliding Center . 27 athletes from 16 different nations took part.
The Olympic champion was the Russian Alexander Tretyakov , who set a new course record in the first run. Martins Dukurs from Latvia won the silver medal ahead of the American Matthew Antoine , who was awarded bronze.
The International Olympic Committee disqualified the Olympic champion Alexander Tretyakov at the end of 2016 based on the findings of the McLaren report on systematic doping in Russia. In February 2018, the International Sports Court overturned the judgment due to insufficient evidence.
