The Route nationale 771 , or RN 771 or N 771 for short , was a French national road that ran from 1933 to 1973 between the N178 in southern Châteaubriant and Le Croisic . In 1955 there was a new route between the center of Saint-Nazaire and the northern feeder. It was completely integrated into National Road 171 in 1978 . In 1979, this new N171 was moved to a dual carriageway between Saint-Nazaire and La Baule. This gave the road leading from the expressway to the center of Saint-Nazaire the number N471 (since 2006 municipal road). 2006 was downgraded between Saint-Nazaire and Le Croisic. The expressway was given the number D213, the connection between this and the original route of the N771 / N171 in La Baule was given the number D192 and the rest to the end in Le Croisic the number D245.

N771e

The N771 E emerged in 1955 as a side branch of the N771 when the N771 was placed on a bypass that ran north around Saint-Nazaire and then ran further west into Saint-Nazaire. It was graduated as D971 in 1973.
