The Route nationale 726 , or N 726 or RN 726 for short , was a French national road that ran in two sections from 1933 to 1973 between Bonny-sur-Loire and an intersection with the former national road 725 east of Mézières-en-Brenne . Their total length was 131 kilometers.

As an alternative to the second variant of the Grand Contournement de Paris , the former national road 726 to Bonny-sur-Loire can be used instead of the national road 151 and the motorway 71 between Vierzon and Auxerre until the motorway between Bourges and Troyes is built and from there to Auxerre the former national road 65 .
