The N801 A was a French national road that was established as a side branch of the N13 as early as 1858. It ran from Cherbourg via Tourlaville to the Fort des Flamands. 1933 but it was not until Numbered, drawing on the N801 and N801 A divided. In 1971 it became a communal road.
