Menhir of Malves

The menhir of Malves or menhir of Peyro-Ficado (also Perificado ) stands on the road to Villalier, west of Malves-en-Minervois , near Carcassonne in the Aude department in France .

The menhir is over 5.0 meters high, about 1.5 meters wide and less than half a meter thick. It was restored from three fragments in the 1960s. A neighboring smaller menhir (2.1 m high) also bears this name. The stone has been recognized as a monument historique since 1921 .
