The menhir of Teicha (also called trumpeter stone) is a prehistoric menhir near Teicha , a district of Petersberg in the Saalekreis in Saxony-Anhalt .
Location and description
The stone was located east of the Teicha in a small forest area known as Mittelholz in the 19th century - today a field surrounded by hedges east of the A 14 . He was long thought to be lost. Only a fragment stuck in the ground was left. In 1996 another stone was found 300 m away, which apparently belonged to the fragment. More precise information on the dimensions and material of the menhir is not available.
