Merinos is a town in Uruguay .

geography

It is located in the Cuchilla de Haedo on the territory of the Río Negro and Paysandú departments ( sector 5 ) on their common border. The two places Beisso and Piñera are located a few kilometers to the northwest , while Poblado Alonso and Morató are the nearest larger settlements in the east . The Arroyo del Curupí has its source in the village .
