Merope (daughter of Atlas)
Merope ( Greek Μερόπη ) is one of the seven Pleiades in Greek mythology , a daughter of Atlas and the Oceanid Pleione .
She was the only one of the Pleiades to marry a mortal, Sisyphus . Out of shame about this she covered her face and is therefore also the least bright star of the seven stars . With Sisyphus she fathered a son, Glaucus .
