Merten GmbH , a company belonging to Schneider Electric, is a German manufacturer of electrical installation material and EIB products. There are 43 branches and agencies worldwide and seven sales offices in Germany. The head office is in Wiehl .

history
In 1906 the brothers Ernst, August and Emil Merten founded the Merten brothers company in Windhagen . The company operates a plant in Wiehl-Bomig and also operated a plant in Drolshagen until February 2015 .
Since June 2006 the company has been part of the French Schneider Electric group .
