Knife dance

The knife dance was a representation of dance of the guild of Cutlers . The Nuremberg cutlers performed this guild dance until the 19th century .

In the 14th century this dance emerged as a further development of the old Germanic sword dance . The knife dance was also known in Frankfurt am Main , Breslau , Cologne and Prague as well as in various Saxon places.
