Messum's is an art gallery in Cork Street , Mayfair , a London street with many art galleries.

The gallery was founded by David Messum in 1963 and specializes in British art from 1750 to the present day. The focus is on the British impressionists and the artists of the Newlyn and St. Ives painting schools. Artists whose work is on display in the gallery include William Bowyer , Peter Brown , Rose Hilton , Kurt Jackson , Edward Piper , John Piper, and Jeremy Annear .

The gallery includes Messum's The Studio , the gallery owner's private residence, which is only accessible to collectors by appointment. Located in Lord's Wood gardens in the Chiltern Hills , Buckinghamshire, the studio is historically linked to a number of painters, sculptors and writers. Built in 1899 in the Arts and Crafts style for eccentric artist Mary Sargant Florence , the home subsequently housed Bloomsbury Group members including Lytton Strachey, Maynard Keynes, Virginia Woolf, Ralph and Frances Partridge and Dora Carrington during the summers . Messum transformed the historic landscape garden into a private sculpture garden with exhibits by contemporary sculptors.
