Mesure (unit)

Mesure was a French measure of volume for primarily dry goods such as salt .

As an oil measure, it was a small measure in the dimensional chain when the barile was used as a measure of volume and not as a measure of weight.

  • Oil measure 1 barile = 2 giarri = 8 quartans = 96 quartucci = 192 mesure = 1694 Parisian cubic inches = 33.59 liters
  • 1 mesure = 0.17495 liters
