Mete Basmacı (born January 1, 1939 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football player .
Career
Mete Basmacı started his career at Adalet SK . After a season at Adalet SK, Basmacı moved to Galatasaray Istanbul . The striker played for Galatasaray for four years and celebrated the first Turkish championship in club history with his teammates in the 1961/62 season.
After this success Mete Basmacı moved to Vefa Istanbul . Vefa Istanbul ended the season on a relegation zone and the striker left Vefa and played for Kasımpaşa Istanbul . With Kasımpaşa Istanbul he was also relegated. He changed clubs one last time and played for Taksim SK . He ended his career in the summer of 1968.
