Mette Schjoldager (born April 21, 1977 in Viby, Roskilde Kommune , on the island of Zealand ) is a Danish badminton player .

Career

Mette Schjoldager took part in the mixed tournament of the 2000 Summer Olympics with Jens Eriksen as a partner . In the quarterfinals they lost to Tri Kusharyanto and Minarti Timur from Indonesia, who later won the silver medal. But Mette and Jens came second at the European Mixed Championships that same year.

At the European Championships in 2002, she and Jens Eriksen won the mixed final against Gail Emms and Nathan Robertson . At the same event, Mette and Pernille Harder were also in the final of the women's doubles discipline, which they lost to the Danish pairing Jane F. Bramsen and Ann-Lou Jørgensen.

At the 2004 Summer Olympics , Schjoldager took part in women's doubles with Pernille Harder, where they were eliminated in the round of 16. In addition, she started again with Jens Eriksen in mixed doubles. The two reach the small final and won the bronze medal by defeating Jonas Rasmussen and Rikke Olsen, who are also from Denmark . At the European Championships held in the same year, Mette was third in women's doubles with Pernille and in mixed with Jens in Eriksen.

In 2006 Mette Schjoldager and Jens Eriksen finished the European Championships in second place in mixed.
