Mic Freezy (* 12. September 1996 in Cali , Colombia ; bourgeois Nico Estrada) is a Swiss hip-hop - a musician and producer . He is based in Basel . It used to be known as Freez .

life and career

The artist Mic Freezy alias Nico Estrada was born on September 12, 1996 southwest in Cali in Colombia . When Mic Freezy was 6 years old, his mother moved with him to northwestern Switzerland , where he still lives today.

Already in his early youth he liked rapping, rhyming and music. From the age of 16 he started in the German-speaking rap scene in the Reimliga Battle Arena , where he presented his own texts and was able to prove himself among all the Mcees. Some time later he met the rapper Prince Harry ( Harry Quintana ) in the RBA , who has already made a good name for himself in the rap scene.

In 2014 they both released a joint song that even landed in the rappers in the top ten charts. The song selected at the time was a single from Mic Freezy's first album "Rap im Blut" which came out in November 2014.

Between 2014 and 2016, Mic Freezy spent his time writing new songs.

In 2016 he then took part in VBT Germany and made it to the 64th finals there. Some time later, Mic Freezy decided to produce himself to make his music even more authentic and unique. He also began with his album Super Smash Brothers Vol. 1, which was a collaboration with RaphSound and served to bridge the drawn-out waiting time of his solo album. Most of the songs on the collaboration album were produced by Mic Freezy, so he made his first appearance as a producer . His constant level of awareness grew massively at the time, which also brought him his first solo appearance in 2016 in Riehen , Switzerland.

He released the solo album Haters gonna Hate in 2017 in a strictly limited edition, which sold completely. Various video clips were released for the album, including Haters gonna Hate or the song 1000 km / h.

The album was even well received by the major media, with the Basler Zeitung even writing an article about Mic Freezy.

In the following year 2018 his next self-produced solo album Sinatra was released. This album was ultimately the sufficient starting signal for the German rap scene.

He also met the newcomer rapper Medo that year. The chemistry was right for both of them and so they founded the LIMIT MUSIC label together in 2019. Mic Freezy also had many new songs with his partner Medo, as well as the well-known radio hit from several major radio programs, Moment.
