Harry Quintana (* 1989/1990, mainly active as Prince Harry until 2015 ) is a German rapper from Munich who has been active since 2006 and initially published his music independently on platforms such as SoundCloud , Bandcamp and YouTube . He worked several times with rappers like Kollegah and LGoony .

Musical career

Harry Quintana's musical origins lie in the rhyme league battle arena . He was active there from 2006 to 2008 under the names prinz harry and harry_k , but both profiles are now blocked. In September 2006 he published the Holiday EP as a free download under the name Mariano . In December 2010 he was featured as a feature guest on Kollegah's release Hoodtape Volume 1 X-Mas Edition , which allowed him to increase his level of awareness. In January 2011, he then released the album Vom Wohlstand verwahrlost , on which new songs are featured in addition to previous freetracks, as a free download. In the meantime he was active in the rap crews WastedYoutHH and Cocaine Cowboys. In May 2015 he released Keep on Playin , a collection of freetracks and features from 2012 to 2014. In August 2015 the EP El Camino was released . In September 2015 he was as a feature guest on the Grape tape of LGoony represented. In November 2018 he released a best-of album called XVXVIII . On Kollegah's Hoodtape Volume 3 , which was published in December 2018, Harry Quintana is represented as a feature guest under the name of Prince Harry, as in the first part of the series . In February 2019 the EP Raro followed on all common streaming platforms.

style

Harry Quintana is said to have a "unique style" that combines "a modern sound with ignorant puns and punchlines". Furthermore, showing off, exaggeration and a nonchalant attitude are trademarks of his music. In addition to content typical of Battle Rap, socio-critical topics are also regularly addressed in his texts. Since his name change from Prince Harry to Harry Quintana in 2015, the sound image of his music has, according to his own statement, been "more into the cloud rap branch".

Harry Quintana's musical influences include, according to his own statement, his former RBA colleagues Kollegah , Klubking and Chissmann as well as Rhymin Simon , Aggro Berlin , Nas , Fabolous and Jeezy . Harry Quintana himself is named by LGoony as one of his greatest inspirations.
