Michael-A. Konitzer

Michael-A. Konitzer (born November 30, 1953 in Munich ) is a German publicist and specialist in digital communication.

Life

During his studies in German and theater studies at the LMU Munich , he worked as a freelance theater and music reviewer. In 1980 he founded the Münchner Stadtzeitung together with publisher Arno Hess and, as editor-in-chief, made it the largest-circulation city newspaper in Germany. In 1986 he joined the founding team of the German WIENER magazine for Zeitgeist , where he was chief reporter and deputy editor-in-chief.

In 1992 he went to the advertising agency Scholz & Friends Hamburg and worked there as a trend and future researcher.

In 1994 he switched to the internet business. He became editor-in-chief of Europe Online Germany ( Burda ) and was responsible for the concept and content of the first German online service. After the failure of Europe Online, he worked as a freelance Internet consultant and conceptionist. In 1996 he went to Microsoft and was initially responsible for Sidewalk Europe, a local online service. In 1997 he became General Manager of MSN Central Europe and converted it into the first major information portal.

In 1999 Michael-A. Konitzer started his own company Y2K Medien GmbH , where he looked after customers such as Volkswagen and Siemens . After the company was bought by the British Amaze Ltd. he was CCO and Managing Director of Amaze GmbH. Here he worked a. a. for customers like Volkswagen and Toyota.

He has been working as a freelancer since 2004 and advises various agencies and companies on web projects, digital marketing and corporate communication, including Lufthansa , Miles & More , BMW and DAB Bank .

Since 2011 he has been the publisher of Annual Multimedia , for which he has worked as an author and jury member since it was founded in 1995.

He lectures on topics related to digital communication and publishes articles on a regular basis.
