The Münchner Stadtzeitung emerged in 1980 from the monthly Münchner Pop: Stadt-Zeitung (previously: Münchner Pop Zeitung ). In 1989 the Münchner Stadtzeitung was bought by the Jahreszeiten Verlag together with other city magazines and was then included in the Munich edition of the Prinz magazine .
