Michael Angrick

Michael Angrick (born September 14, 1952 in Berlin ) is a German chemist , civil servant , non-fiction author and editor. Angrick studied chemistry at the Free University of Berlin (FU Berlin).

Life

After completing his doctorate “On the connection of C 3 sugars and related polyfunctional compounds with amino acids ”, he first worked as a laboratory manager at Kulzer and then at the Benjamin Franklin University Hospital of the Free University of Berlin , before he became a research assistant at the Federal Environment Agency in 1986 . From 2010 on he headed the department “Sustainable Production, Products, Circular Economy”. Since July 2015 he has been head of the German Emissions Trading Authority in the Federal Environment Agency . Since October 1, 2018, he had also taken on the role of Vice President of the Federal Environment Agency, but has been out of service since July 1, 2019 .

Angrick has published around 60 scientific papers so far.
