Michael Beck (actor)
John Michael Beck Taylor (born February 4, 1949 in Memphis , Tennessee ) is an American actor .
Life
Beck attended the "Memphis University School" and then the "Millsaps College" in Jackson , Mississippi . After graduating in business administration, he was selected to take a course at the London Central School of Speech and Drama . After starting out on the stage, he became known for his film roles as "Swan" in The Warriors , as "Sonny Malone" in Xanadu and Megaforce . Beck later starred in the Houston Knights series (1987), in which he played Sgt. Levon Lundy, a Texas police officer. He also continued to appear in action films, for example in films such as The Battle Colossus .
Beck has spoken numerous audio books , including a number of recordings of the works of John Grisham . He also lent his voice to a number of cartoons.
Michael Beck now lives in California with his wife and children.
