Michael Chauvistré

Michael Chauvistré (born September 10, 1960 in Aachen ) is a German director and film producer .

From 1982 to 1986 Michael Chauvistré studied history and philosophy in Aachen and Konstanz ; from 1982 to 1984 he was a member of the film studio at the Technical University of Aachen . In 1985 and 1986 he took on his first assistant director at the theater.

In 1986 he began studying at the Munich University of Television and Film . In 1988 he founded the production company Happy Endings Film . He has been producing his own documentaries since 1990 and also works as a cameraman .

In 1993 he co-founded the documentary film workshop on the island of Poel . In 1997 he took part in writing seminars with Doris Dörrie, Keith Cunningham and Tom Schlesinger, and in 1998 in an acting seminar with John Costopoulos.

In 1999 he shot his graduation film at the HFF Munich - the short story "Pax" as an episode of the feature film Midsommar Stories . From 2002 to 2004 he worked as a co-author with Anke Stelling on the script to Take me with you based on the novel of the same name by Anke Stelling and Robby Dannenberg .

Michael Chauvistré lives with his wife, the Italian director Miriam Pucitta , and two children together in Aachen.
