Michael Dietmann (born June 29, 1968 in Berlin ) is a Berlin politician ( CDU ). He has been a member of the House of Representatives since 1995 .

Life and study

Dietmann grew up in Berlin. In 1987 he passed his Abitur at the Humboldt-Gymnasium in Berlin. In 1990 he completed an apprenticeship as a banker and then studied business administration at the Free University of Berlin . In 1995 he graduated with a degree in business administration. Since 1996 he worked at SEB AG Berlin - among other things as an authorized signatory and branch director, later as director and managing director of a subsidiary of SEB AG Germany. Michael Dietmann has been Regional Director of TARGOBANK Privatkunden AG & Co. KGaA since 2007. He is a member of the supervisory board of Unionhilfswerk-Gesellschaft Berlin and a founding member of the Berlin start-up association. He is married and has two children.

Dietmann joined the CDU in 1985. From 1988 to 1992 he was deputy district chairman of the Junge Union Reinickendorf and district and state party congress delegate. Since 1990 he has been a member of the district board, deputy district chairman of the CDU Reinickendorf and from 1993 local chairman of the Märkisches Viertel. Between 1992 and 1995 Dietmann was a representative of the district assembly of Reinickendorf.

Dietmann has been a member of the Berlin House of Representatives since November 1995. He was elected directly in the former constituency of Reinickendorf 7 in 1995 and directly in the constituency of Reinickendorf 5 since 1999 . He is spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group for economics and chairman of the committee for economics, research and technology. Since 2011 he has also been deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group.
