Michael Enzelsberger

Michael Enzelsberger (born September 8, 1871 in St. Marienkirchen an der Polsenz , Upper Austria ; † February 2, 1952 in Linz ) was an Austrian railway official and politician .

After attending primary school, Enzelsberger first worked in his parents' farm and also learned the shoemaker's trade. After completing his military service, he entered the service of the state railways, passed the prescribed exams and advanced to the position of station director. In 1926 he retired as a federal railway official. He was married twice, with four children from each marriage.

Enzelsberger soon turned to the Christian labor movement and the railway workers' union. In 1919 he was sent to the Upper Austrian state parliament and stayed there until 1934. From 1919 to 1938 he was a member of the Perg parish council and, among other things, a member of the district school council and local chairman of the Christian Social Party and the Catholic People's Association. From 1934 until his death he was chairman of the Perg kindergarten association.
