Michael Haas (born February 7, 1965 ) is a German journalist, radio presenter and head of the SWR3 studio in Mainz.

In 1981 Michael Haas took part in Radio Luxemburg's Children's Day and, together with Désirée Nosbusch, moderated the morning program.

Half a year later, the chief spokesman for Radio Luxemburg, Jochen Pützenbacher , brought the student along with Anke Engelke and two other students to the team of moderators. After Desiree Nosbusch's departure, the show Hits from the school desk was released , which the students then moderated under the title Die Vier vom Schulbank . At the same time, Michael Haas and friends founded the hospital and retirement home station Radio City Bad Münstereifel eV in his home town of Bad Münstereifel . After the RTL program Four from the school desk was stopped , Michael Haas switched to the RTL traffic team and from 1983 presented the traffic overlay from the studio in the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of the Interior (situation center of the state police reporting point). After his military service at the media headquarters of the Bundeswehr, Michael Haas went to Trier as a presenter and editor for the Wochenspiegel Radio. After three months he switched to the market leader RPR in Trier as the presenter of the morning show . He also got his own personality show in the late afternoon, for which he also worked as a reporter. In 1986 Haas began studying in Cologne and soon afterwards began working as a moderator at SWF3 in Baden-Baden.

Here he moderated various programs of the day and night programs. He became popular as a drive-time presenter in the formats SWF3 Radiokiosk , SWF3 Mack and SWR3 Hiline . In addition, he hosted the program SWF3 Lollipop for almost 15 years, which was broadcast throughout Germany as part of the ARD Popnacht . In SWF3 Weltweit (later SWR3 Weltweit) he accompanied globetrotters, adventurers and German “guest workers” on all continents with his interviews.

After the merger of SWF and SDR, Michael Haas took over the management of the SWR3 studio in Mainz. In 2001 he gave up the moderation and since then has also worked as CvD and RvD in the SWR3 broadcasting center in Baden-Baden. The main location is still the SWR3 studio in Mainz.
