Michael Hayne

Michael Hayne (born December 17, 1937 in Cologne ) is a German psychoanalyst , group analyst and psychologist . He is a professor at the Institute of Psychology at the University of Klagenfurt (there also Habilitation in Psychology with special consideration of psychoanalysis) and lecturer at the Institute of psychotherapy research, method development and training (IPFMW) of the University of Cologne : analytical and psychodynamic psychotherapy, organizational and institute advice. He also works as a supervisor. In 1976 he founded - together with Alice Ricciardi and Josef Shaked - the group analysis workshops in Altaussee , which are organized today by the International Working Group for Group Analysis based in Bonn. He worked for a long time as a leading psychologist and psychoanalyst in a psychosomatic clinic and has also been working in his own practice in Bonn and as a clinic supervisor since 1985. He has written several publications on psychotherapy and group therapy. His main contribution is the innovative group work for the severely disabled.
