Michael Herbick

Michael Herbick (born before 1979) is an American sound engineer .

Life

Herbig began his career as a drummer and played in 1979 on the album Leisure Suite by Country Joe McDonald . In the 1980s he worked as a sound engineer for Maze , Y&T and Neil Young , among others . He began his career in Hollywood in 1988 and was awarded the Primetime Emmy the following year . He received the BAFTA Film Award and the first of a total of five Oscar nominations for his performance on Escape . In 1995 he was nominated twice for an Oscar, but it was won by the sound engineering team for the film Speed .
