Michael Herzberg (born March 29, 1964 in Hildesheim ) is a German chess composer . He is the international master for chess composition , currently the only one in Lower Saxony.

Problem chess

Herzberg published his first task in Europe castling in 1986 . A further 588 problems followed by 2016. 255 pieces of them received awards. In 2004 he was awarded the title of FIDE Master and in 2011 the title of International Master of Chess Composition by the World Federation for Chess Composition . Herzberg primarily composes multi-students and took part in this category at the World Championship for Chess Composition 1998-2000, in which he took second place.

Michael Herzberg completed an apprenticeship as a toolmaker, then passed the examination to become an industrial foreman , specializing in metal, and works as a team leader / process supervisor in starter production at SEG Automotive in Hildesheim.
