Michael Hopp

Michael Hopp (born September 23, 1955 in Vienna ) is an Austrian author and journalist. He gained fame as editor-in-chief of the Austrian Zeitgeist magazine "Wiener" , as the author of various cover stories for Tempo and as editor-in-chief of program magazines such as TV Movie, TV Total and TV Today.

career path

From 1977 to 1980 Hopp was at ORF television in Vienna as editor of the youth program "Ohne Maulkorb" , where he also moderated and directed. From 1980 to 1982 he was head of the youth magazine " Rennbahn-Express ". He then worked as editor-in-chief and author at Wiener (1982–1985) and Tempo (1985–1987), "Cash Flow" (1987–1989) and "Männer Vogue" (1989–1993). Until 1995 he had his own publishing office in Munich, developing customer magazines a. a. works for Lufthansa (Condor Magazin), SPÖ (Austria Magazin) and RTL (magazine for the Traumhochzeit program). He then worked as a freelance journalist (Bild, Der Spiegel etc.) developing various program magazines, of which he also became editor-in-chief ( TV Total ; TV Movie , TV Today ). Since 2009 he has been running the Hopp und Frenz editorial office with Elisabeth Frenz. The focus is on corporate publishing and content marketing as well as the series of events “Blattkritik Salon Hamburg” and “HuF Seminar”.

Hopp is the father of 5 children and lives in Hamburg.
