Michael Hug (politician)

Michael Simon Hug (born November 4, 1987 in Basel ) is a Swiss lawyer and politician ( LDP ).

Life

Hug studied law at the University of Basel. He works as a research assistant for the Swiss Bankers Association.

He has been the Grand Councilor of the Canton of Basel-Stadt since July 1, 2020 . He moved up for his party colleague Patricia von Falkenstein in parliament.

Hug is a member of the Swiss Altzofinger Association and the guild of household members . He is involved on a voluntary basis as Co-President of the voluntary Basel Monument Preservation. He is also a board member of the Thorens Foundation.
