Michael Jutz

Michael Jutz (born November 6, 1859 in Nenzing ; † May 23, 1940 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( CSP ) and farmer . The trained stove maker Jutz was a member of the Constituent National Assembly in 1919 and 1920 and a member of the Austrian National Council from 1920 to 1923 . He was also a member of the community council in his home community of Nenzing.

Michael Jutz was born on November 6, 1859 as the son of the farmer Gabriel Jutz and his wife Anna Maria (née Nesensohn) in the Vorarlberg Walgaugemeinde Nenzing. After attending primary school, Jutz learned the profession of stove fitter, but later, like his father, worked as a farmer.

Jutz was politically active in the local council in his home town of Nenzing and was ultimately elected as a member of the Christian Social Party from Vorarlberg in the election for the constituent national assembly. In the constituent national assembly, Michael Jutz was a member of the committee for the preliminary consultation of the chamber laws as well as the committee for agriculture and forestry. He also proposed a resolution on “negotiations with the Swiss Provincial Council and the German Reich government on the declaration of the state of Vorarlberg as a customs exclusion zone” . As a result, he was also elected to the National Council of the first legislative period in the first regular election of the National Council in 1920 as a Vorarlberg member . In this he was a member of the committees for trade and commerce, industry and construction as well as agriculture and forestry.

Michael Jutz had been married to Maria Schallert since 1894 and had four children with her.
