Career

Michael König came to Rot-Weiss Frankfurt via the youth stations BSC 19 Frankfurt and Eintracht Frankfurt , with whom he qualified in 1994 for the newly introduced third-class regional league. After the midfielder had worked there as a regular player, he moved back to SG Eintracht. In 1996/97 he played two Bundesliga games, otherwise he played exclusively for the amateurs who were relegated to the Oberliga Hessen in 1996. In 1997 he joined the SV Wehen , which had been promoted to the regional league , and which he left in 2002 for FSV Frankfurt (Oberliga).

Then he played with the Sportfreunde Seligenstadt . In 2008 he ended his active career and was only active for the SF Seligenstadt AH team. At the end of 2009 he was reactivated briefly for the first team. There he scored an important goal in a relegation game to the Hessen League. However, the ascent was ultimately not achieved.
