Michael Klatt

Michael Klatt (born October 21, 1968 ) is a German business economist and football official . He is the managing director of MSV Duisburg GmbH & Co. KGaA .

Life

After graduating from high school, Klatt studied business administration in Mannheim and Milan. After graduating, he worked as a management consultant for KPMG and AT Kearney . His focus was on finance, controlling and process optimization. After working as a management consultant, Klatt took on several commercial activities at larger companies. Most recently, he was managing director for finance, law and IT at SIG Germany GmbH.

Career as a football official

On April 1, 2016, Klatt took over the position of board member for finances and operations at 1. FC Kaiserslautern under the then chairman of the board Thomas Gries. When Gries left the association at the beginning of 2018, Klatt initially took over the post of chairman of the board. After the engagement of Martin Bader as the new sports director, Klatt was elected as the new CEO by the Red Devil Supervisory Board on February 1, 2018. With the spin-off of the licensed player division into a corporation on September 28, 2018, Klatt became the commercial director of the managing general partner of the new 1. FC Kaiserslautern GmbH & Co. KGaA, 1. FC Kaiserslautern Management GmbH.

After being replaced as managing director by Soeren Oliver Voigt on December 3, 2019, he took over the management of MSV Duisburg GmbH & Co. KGaA on January 1, 2020 after the end of his contract .

Private

Klatt is married and lives in Frankfurt am Main .
