Michael Koch (soccer player, 1953)
Michael Koch (born June 24, 1953 ) is a former German soccer player. In 1974/75 he played a total of eleven second division games for FC 08 Homburg .
career
The 20-year-old junior player Michael Koch was coached by Uwe Klimaschefski in the last season of the old second -rate regional football league Southwest , 1973/74, for the first time on November 25, 1973 in a 3-2 away win at FV Speyer in the Green-Whites' league used. Since Homburg had qualified as third in the table for the newly introduced 2nd Bundesliga for the 1974/75 season, he played in the 2nd division in the first year of the new Bundesliga substructure. The team from the Waldstadion started the round under the new coach Herbert Wenz , before Uwe Klimaschefski took over the training management again in September 1974. At the side of top performers such as Albert Müller , Gerhard Pankotsch , Manfred Lenz , Harald Diener and goal scorer Otmar Ludwig (21 goals) Michael Koch acted as a supplementary player. Namesake Heinz Koch , on the other hand, made 23 appearances. Homburg finished in 14th place and Michael Koch joined FC Rodalben for the 1975/76 season .
