Michael Lane (wrestler)
Michael Lane (also Mike Lane ; born January 6, 1933 in Washington, DC - † June 1, 2015 in Palmdale , California ) was an American wrestler and actor .
Lane, unusually tall at 6 feet , began his career as a boxer and wrestler with the King Bros & Cristiani Combined Circus . After a year he began a professional wrestling career in 1952 under the ring names Tarzan Mike and Dick Holbrook , which he pursued until 1959. He often worked with The Original Sheik . For Dirty Lorbeer he got his first film role (alongside Humphrey Bogart ) and played mostly silent strong men in around 20 films and 30 television appearances until 1994 - like Hercules in 1961 .
