Michael Lister
Michael Lister (born September 22, 1964 in Marl ) is a German business economist and has been a professor at the Steinbeis University in Berlin since 2008 .
Life
From 1987 to 1992, Lister completed a degree in business administration at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster with a degree in business administration . From 1992 to 1996 Lister obtained his doctorate as Dr. rer. pole. with the grade summa cum laude from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Basel . For his dissertation with the title: Risk-Adjusted Results Measurement and Risk Capital Allocation , he received the Faculty Award of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Basel in 1997. In 1998 he was visiting professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University .
In 2002 he completed his habilitation with the topic: Value-based risk controlling in companies and received the venia docendi for business administration. From 2003 to 2008 he held the chair for finance, banking and controlling at the WHL Wissenschaftliche Hochschule Lahr . From 2005 to 2008 he was also Vice Rector for Research.
Lister has held the Chair of Finance, Banking and Controlling and the Chair of Real Estate at the Steinbeis University in Berlin since 2008 .
Research priorities
At the Chair of Finance, Banking and Controlling, Lister deals in particular with the topics of risk controlling, productivity control and value management. At the Chair of Real Estate, the development of controlling concepts for real estate companies and the risk assessment of real estate are among the main research areas.
